The Northern Tasmanian Football Association is made up of three divisions carrying six, nine and seven clubs, the North West Football League is the top level in the north west with eight clubs, and the Southern Football League has run two divisions since 2025 with a six-team Premier League above its Community League. Netball divides the same way, with a northern association based around Launceston and a southern association whose winter season has been published as 18 March to 13 September.
