Volleyball is a unique sport that demands a unique type of apparel. Unlike soccer or rugby, where players run continuously, volleyball involves explosive bursts of vertical energy and rapid lateral movements. A jersey that is too tight in the shoulders will restrict a player’s reach during a block; a jersey that is too loose can become a distraction or even a safety hazard during net play. At VS Wear, we have engineered our custom volleyball jerseys to solve these problems. We focus on the “athletic fit”—a silhouette that contours to the body to reduce drag but provides ample room for the full range of shoulder rotation required for serving and spiking.
Our commitment to quality starts with the fabric. We don’t use generic polyester. We use high-filament micromesh and smooth interlock fabrics that are specifically chosen for their tactile feel and performance properties. These fabrics are soft against the skin, reducing the risk of chafing during repetitive movements, yet durable enough to withstand the friction of diving on hard court surfaces. Furthermore, our jerseys are treated with antibacterial properties to minimise odours, keeping your team smelling fresh even after a five-set marathon in a hot stadium. We also understand the visual importance of the jersey. In volleyball, the jersey is the primary canvas for your team’s brand. It needs to look sharp, vibrant, and professional. That is why we use state-of-the-art Italian sublimation inks that produce the deepest blacks and the brightest neons. Whether you want a classic, traditional look or a wild, modern geometric pattern, our production technology ensures the final product looks exactly like the digital design proof.
Before you order, it is important to understand exactly what goes into a VS Wear jersey. We believe in transparency, so you know you are getting excellent value for your club’s budget.

One style does not fit all in volleyball. Different teams have different preferences based on their level of competition and personal comfort. VS Wear offers a versatile range of jersey cuts to ensure every player feels confident when they step onto the court. Request a quote to discuss which style suits your team best.
The short-sleeved jersey is the standard for most indoor competitions, from local social leagues to international play. Our sleeved jerseys typically feature a Raglan cut. Unlike a standard t-shirt where the seam sits on top of the shoulder, a Raglan sleeve extends fully to the collar. This removes the seam from the point of shoulder rotation, significantly increasing comfort and range of motion for overhead actions like serving and spiking. It also provides a great “panel” for design elements, allowing for contrasting coloured sleeves.
For players who prefer zero restriction, our sleeveless and T-back options are ideal. Popular in women’s competitive volleyball and beach volleyball, these cuts allow for complete arm freedom and maximum cooling. We design our armholes carefully to ensure they are not too low-cut, providing modest coverage while maintaining a sporty aesthetic. T-back jerseys also feature a racer-style back panel, which keeps straps secure and highlights athletic movement.
A “unisex” jersey is often just a men’s jersey that fits poorly on women. At VS Wear, we offer distinct sizing charts for Men and Ladies. Our Ladies’ cut is tapered slightly at the waist and features shorter sleeves and narrower shoulders to better fit the female form. Our Men’s cut is straighter with broader shoulders. We also offer a dedicated Kids’ range, so your junior development squads can look just as professional as your senior first team.

In competitive volleyball, the Libero (defensive specialist) must wear a jersey that contrasts in colour with the rest of the team. This rule is strictly enforced by referees to track player rotations. Many suppliers make this difficult, forcing you to order a “minimum of 10” for a jersey you only need one or two of.
At VS Wear, we make ordering Libero jerseys simple. Because we manufacture everything to order, we can easily produce 10 “Home” jerseys and 2 “Libero” jerseys within the same order batch, provided the physical cut of the garment is the same. We can simply invert your team colours—making the primary colour secondary and vice-versa—to create a compliant, contrasting Libero strip that still looks like part of the team family. Contact us on 1800 845 056 to discuss how to structure your order for Liberos.
You might have seen cheap jerseys with stick-on numbers that crack after a few washes, or thick screen-printed logos that feel like a plastic patch on your chest. These are relics of the past. VS Wear exclusively uses Full Dye Sublimation, and here is why it is the only choice for serious volleyball teams:
We are not just a supplier; we are a partner in your club’s success. We know that organising team uniforms is often a thankless task done by a volunteer parent or a busy coach. We aim to make you look like a hero to your team by delivering high-quality gear on time, every time.
Getting custom jerseys doesn’t have to be a headache. Here is how we move from an idea to a finished product:
What are the regulations for volleyball jersey numbers?
Most competitions (FIVB, State Leagues) require numbers to be on both the front and back of the jersey. The numbers usually need to be a minimum height (e.g., 15cm on front, 20cm on back) and in a contrasting colour to the jersey. Our designers are familiar with these rules and will ensure your design is compliant.
Can I order just the jerseys, or do I have to buy shorts too?
You can absolutely order just the jerseys. While we offer matching shorts, we understand that many teams already have black shorts or prefer to source them separately. We are happy to supply the tops only.
Can you add a captain’s bar?
Yes. The captain’s bar (a stripe under the number on the front of the jersey) can be added to specific players’ jerseys at no extra cost. Just indicate who the captains are on your order spreadsheet.
Do you have a minimum order?
Our standard minimum is 10 units. However, we are flexible for repeat orders. If you need 2 extra jerseys mid-season because of new player sign-ups, we can usually accommodate this (a small surcharge may apply for very small runs). Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
What format do you need my logos in?
For the best print quality, we prefer vector files (AI, EPS, PDF). If you only have a high-resolution JPEG or PNG, our design team can often trace it or convert it for you free of charge.
